family photos on a gorgeous fall day!
I’ve known Pam for a while now…when we met, she didn’t even have kids! I was just starting fresh images and she was new to her photography business as well. That seems like ages ago. We met over coffee and became fast and easy friends, continuing to meet for coffee or dinner here and there over the last few years. We obviously spend much of our visits talking about photography…we both have a secret crush on a certain photographer in California, but I guess that’s not really a secret anymore. Over the years, however, I think we’ve become more than colleagues..we’re friends.
I’ve helped her out a few times by photographing weddings with her and she’s done the same for me. We shot a wedding together recently at Canoe, in Toronto for a pretty amazing couple that I’ll be posting about soon, but this post isn’t about all the shoots we’ve done together. This is about a session I did for her. We both needed updated photos so helping each other out was a really great solution. I was so glad I got to spend time with Pam and her family…here are a few of my favourites from their session!
I’m pretty sure it’s been a while since Pam and Jay had a photo of just the two of them…well, that wasn’t a selfie, anyway. We snapped a couple, but this one made me smile.
We were all done. I gave the kids a camera stamp on their hands, they were told they could change and get ready to go to the Erin Fall Fair, but then this happened. Pam has often told me about Jay’s love of fishing. He pulled out the rod for just a few minutes and Shelby was right in there to help. Such a simple, unplanned and lovely moment between the two of them, we had to photograph it! (He caught a huge fish too!)
Please enjoy, share, comment, pin etc!
