A Guelph Wedding Photographer in Orillia…
Traveling for weddings is something that I’ve come to love and almost expect. I love living and being a wedding photographer in Guelph, I have to say though, there are a lot of us! We sometimes end up looking for weddings elsewhere. Even some of our local clients end up choosing venues outside of Guelph, so being a photographer in Southern Ontario means travelling. Even if it’s just to Kitchener or Cambridge, I love shooting weddings…it doesn’t matter where. I have to admit though, there’s nothing quite like only needing to drive 10 or 15 minutes after a wedding is over to get home. 🙂
It’s been so cold this week, I can’t help thinking of warm summer nights so on this Throwback Thursday, I thought I’d share a few images from Laura and Robbie’s wedding back in August of 2013. Their wedding wasn’t a 10 or 15 minute drive from home, but I’m lucky that I have some really close friends who live in and near Orillia. So, whenever I have a wedding or portrait session booked in that area, I make time for a visit and they make room in their guest rooms for all my equipment.
It was a beautiful hot day and Laura and Robbie got married on at the Kearey Moreland Farm in Orillia. The family farm was an important part of Robbie’s childhood and it always warms my heart when people choose locations or add details to their wedding day that are important to their story. They added so many special touches…the music felt so much like the couple I came to know, the feeling of the whole day was casual and open, just like them. They hired a delicious local restaurant, Era 67 to do the catering and filled a canoe full of local Muskoka Breweries beer.
Their wedding day felt celebratory and fun and filled with love. I’m so glad I was able to be there to capture it all.
